Think.com:
A re-orientation programme on Think.com was
conducted at KV, INS Hamla on 29th & 30th Nov. 2007 and
at KV, BEG Pune on 1st & 2nd Dec. 2007. Mrs. Krishna Kumari,
PRT, KV, INS Hamla was the Co-ordinator of both the programmes.
She re-oriented the participants and new teacher administrators
were made. The newly recruited PGT (Computer Science) were
introduced and oriented in the programme.
A time slot of 2 hrs once every week has
been identified when all can go on time and interact with
other teacher administrators also.

Think.com a global initiative launched in
the year 2004 in Mumbai region by Oracle education foundation
has been the biggest example of private and public initiative.
In its 3 yrs of existence it has provided ample opportunities
to both the teaching and learning community as a whole .It
has the power to revolutionize the way we teach and learn
creating in the process an awareness of 21st century skills
without compromising on the creative and thinking abilities
of the students .It has also succeeded in creating a large
think.com family and melted the barriers creating a healthy
atmosphere which facilitates learning
Inorder
to encourage and induce greater initiatives KENDRIYA
VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN ,Mumbai region took the iniative of conducting
think.com work shops at KVINSHAMLA for MUMBAI CLUSTER on 1 and 2nd Dec and at KV BEG,Pune for PUNE and NASIK Cluster
on 12 th and 13 th Dec It was conducted by Mrs Krishna kumari
master trainer Mumbai Region .This has undoubtedly created
renewed enthusiasm in the project as new techniques were taught
and doubts and apprehensions were solved .The teacher administrators
in mumbai region are now able to motivate the students and
teachers of their schools .
Think.com leadership programme initiated by oracle was started
in the month of august and the gigantic process of fool proof
selection and implementation with prize money of 200USD and
momentos and certificates has indeed been very fruitful and
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan congratulates all its winners
from the region.

One of the teachers from Mumbai region Mrs Krishna Kumari
has been selected by Oracle education Foundation to take part
in the 21st century learning institute training to be held
at Nanyang technological institute Singapore .It involves
extensive online training of 40 hrs followed by in class training
at Singapore for 28hrs from 25 th to 1st March’08, It
will enable them to use 21st century learning skills and in
turn implement and mentor project based learning skills among
students and teachers of the Asia pacific region.
